We started as a small interior design firm in downtown Michigan, aiming to help home buyers make do with the new space that they had acquired. It soon became obvious that it would make sense to help our clients see beyond the walls and floor plans and be there with them from the get-go. Currently, we offer house realtor, interior design, and architecture services in order to help our customers find their forever homes as seamlessly and painlessly as possible.
Brief
Entry-Level Kettle — Premium Design
Wilfa is looking for a design studio to develop a new entry-level electric kettle that carries the brand's signature Scandinavian aesthetic at an accessible price point. The goal is a quiet, minimal design that feels premium through proportion, material quality, and refined detail — not added features. The kettle should hold 1.0–1.5L, deliver fast boil performance, and integrate seamlessly into the existing Wilfa product family. We're seeking 2–3 concept directions, a refined CMF specification, production-ready CAD, and contextual renders that demonstrate how thoughtful design can make an entry-level product feel anything but entry-level.
Our solution
An entry-level kettle that earns a premium impression — proof that premium is an outcome of discipline, not budget. We turned cost and manufacturing limits into design material, resolving every detail inside the BOM while keeping the form timeless and unmistakably Wilfa. From first sketch to production, including structure and mechanism ideation, the design intent survived engineering.
